Christ Gospel Church is a fundamentalist, Pentecostal Christian group. We espouse the Apostles’ Creed. We believe in Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ by faith. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. We believe The Holy Bible is God-breathed and is useful for us today for: doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Tim 3:16-17)
At Christ Gospel Church of Owensboro, our services are exuberant celebrations. People are free to: sing, shout, dance, clap, run, praise, and worship God with all their being and all their might. While also at times being soberly quiet as we attentively study the Bible.
Christ Gospel Church of Owensboro embraces the use of all kinds of music and instruments. The church emphasizes the importance of being united in the love of Christ, regardless of nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, or creed.
Our church doesn’t believe we are the only Christians going to heaven. In fact, we maintain that Christians everywhere should rejoice whenever the name of Jesus Christ is upheld. Christ Gospel churches believe that their ministry is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world and to help Christians discover a closer walk with God.
As we strive for union with Christ, most church members renounce activities that distract their minds from God, as it is their goal to live full, complete lives while keeping Christ at the center of their thoughts and activities. The church, however, teaches that there are different levels of commitment to God, which are a matter of individuals' consciences.
People are encouraged to devote their lives to God and to walk in the light of the truth that God has given them personally. Most Christ Gospel Church members attend church, bible studies, or prayer groups several times weekly.
They believe in living full, wholesome lives, enjoying good clean fun, marrying, rearing families, buying homes, going to school and college, developing careers, striving for excellence, and being responsible, moral citizens in all their actions.
